Johann Hoffmann (neurologist)

Johann Hoffmann ( born March 28, 1857 in Hahnheim; † November 1, 1919 in Heidelberg ) was a German neurologist and neuropathologist.

He studied medicine in Heidelberg, Strasbourg and Berlin. 1882/1883 he passed the state examination and became an assistant to Nicholas Friedreich, Adolf Weil and Wilhelm Erb. In 1910 he became honorary professor o and 1919 ord. Professor of nerve pathology.

Johann Hoffmann was laid at the Heidelberg Mountain Cemetery in the family plot Hoffmann / Giulini (Dept. Y) to rest.
