Johann Martin Rubert

Johann Martin Rubert, also Rubbert or Rupert (* around 1615 in Nuremberg, † May 24, 1677 in Stralsund ), was a German organist and composer.

Life

Johann Martin Rubert received a musical education since his childhood and was promoted because of his talent from the city of Nuremberg advice. Later he studied in Leipzig. 1645 Before he was " Princely Markgrefflicher Musicus, court organist and chamber servant " to Plass castle. In Hamburg, he was the first known organist at the positive of the orphanage.
