Johann Reinhard II, Count of Hanau-Lichtenberg

Count Johann Reinhard II of Hanau- Lichtenberg (. * 13 Januarjul / January 23 1628greg in Buchsweiler; . † April 25, 1666 in Bishop home on high bar ) was a posthumous son of Count Philipp Wolfgang von Hanau- Lichtenberg ( * 1595, † 1641) and Countess Johanna von Oettingen - Oettingen († 1639 ).

For the nomenclature

Johann Reinhard ( II ) is in the relevant literature, although he never was a posthumous son to the reigning count, mostly as Johann Reinhard II respectively. He is the reigning Count Johann Reinhard I of Hanau- Lichtenberg ( * 1559, † 1626 ) and his own son, Count Johann Reinhard III. (* 1665, † 1736), distinguished. To indicate that he was not a reigning Count, the atomic number is set to its name in parentheses.

Family

Together with his brother Johann Philipp he was sent on a grand tour through Germany, the Netherlands, England, France and Switzerland. Then he visited in 1650 the Reichstag in Nuremberg, which was devoted to the enforcement problems of the Peace of Westphalia. He was assigned by Bishop Testament paternal home on the high bar and the Office Lichtenau as a residence. 1653 he took part in Regensburg at the Reichstag.

On October 19, 1659 he married in Bischweiler (now Bischwiller ) Countess Palatine Anna Magdalena of Pfalz- Bischweiler (* 1640, † 1693). From this marriage five children were born:

  • Johanna Magdalena ( born December 18, 1660 in Bishop Home at High bridge; † August 21, 1715 ), married on December 5, 1685 Count Johann Karl August von Leiningen- Dachsburg - Heidenheim ( born March 17, 1662 † November 3, 1698 ). You should have been buried in St. Mary's Church in Hanau.

Furthermore, by Johann Reinhard an extramarital affair with Maria Magdalena von Lindenau (also: Lindau) known. Maria Magdalena († after 1680 ) was the daughter of Lieutenant Colonel von Lindenau († December 1, 1640 ) from former Swedish service, which was the successor of Johann Winter of Güldenborn commandant of the fortress of Hanau. After his death, his successor Karl Kasimir approached by Landras. The combination of Johann Reinhard and Mary Magdalene sprang at least one son:

  • Johann Reinhard von Lichtenfels (* 1656 or earlier; † after 1689th )

Johann Reinhard von Lichtenfels 1680 is detected in Duisburg .. The latest evidence comes from the year 1689th served Johann Reinhard von Lichtenfels in the military of the Roman Catholic Bishopric of Münster and died without heirs.

Death

After his death on April 25, 1666 Johann Reinhard ( II ) was buried in the crypt of Lichtenberg Castle. These appeared two funeral sermons:

  • A way of Georg Linus, general superintendent of the county of Hanau, with a contribution of Philipp Jacob Spener and
