Johanna Ikonen

Johanna Annikki Icons ( born January 9, 1969 in Eno, North Karelia ) is a former Finnish ice hockey player, who works as a trainer since their careers end and is currently employed by the OSC Berlin.

Career

Johanna icons began her career at Kiekko - Pojat Joensuu and played throughout her career, which lasted from 1988 to 1988, also for the HIFK Helsinki, the Keravan Shakers, Kiekko - Espoo and Helsinki the Chamber of Commerce. With the Shakers Keravan she won in 1994, 1995 and 1996, the Finnish championship.

Internationally

At the Olympic Winter Games in Nagano in 1998, she won the Finnish women's national team the bronze medal in Olympic ice hockey tournament. They stood in six games on the ice, with the Finn scored four goals and one assist. In addition, icons spent six minutes on the penalty bench. At the World Championships she graduated between 1990 and 1997 a total of 20 games for Finland, where icons posted nine goals and seven assists. Furthermore, ten penalty minutes in their personal balance sheet. 1990, 1992, 1994 and 1997, she won bronze medals with Finland.

As a coach

In 1994, she began parallel to the active sport of ice hockey to work as a trainer. First, she looked after the juniors of Kiekko - Pojat Joensuu and the U16 team of CCI Helsinki. After her career end she was head coach of the women's teams of the Chamber of Commerce and the Espoo Blues, winning two Finnish championships and a runner-up. Between 2001 and 2002 she was also coach of the Finnish U20 Juniors selection.

In the 2009/10 season, she was the head coach of the Jets Enon, a men's amateur team from the 3rd Division, which is based in her native city.

She was engaged by the OSC Berlin as co- trainer of René Bielke Before the season 2011/12. As this retired for personal reasons in November 2011, took over the office of the icons head coach of the women's ice hockey Bundesliga Team of the OSC Berlin.
