Johannes Runnenburg

Johannes Theodorus Runnenburg ( born February 19, 1932 in Amsterdam, † 16 April 2008) was a Dutch mathematician who dealt with mathematical probability theory.

Runnenburg 1960 at Nicolaas Govert de Bruijn PhD from the University of Amsterdam ( On the Use of Markov Processes in One - server- Waiting -time problem and Renewal Theory). In 1960 he was a lecturer in probability theory and calculus in Amsterdam and in 1962 professor. In 1997 he became Professor Emeritus.

His doctoral Gijsbert de Leve, Wim Vervaat (1942-1996), Arie Hordijk, Laurens de Haan ( 1937), Guus Balkema include ( August Aimé Balkema ) and Fred Steutel.
