John Cerminaro

John Cerminaro ( born April 7, 1947 in Grimes County, Texas) is an American horn player.

Cherminaro was during his long career solo horn in numerous American orchestras as the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Aspen Festival Orchestra. In addition, he has blown as a soloist in numerous orchestras, so the Dallas Symphony, the Milwaukee Symphony, and the Houston Symphony as well as at many festivals in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Since 1995 Cherminaro is principal horn of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra.

Cerminaro has recorded extensively, including the horn concertos by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ( with the Seattle Symphony and Gerard Schwarz as conductor ).

In addition to his work as principal horn Cerminaro is also professor of horn at the Juilliard School, at the California Institute of the Arts and at Victoria College.
