John Cullen Award

The John Cullen Award was an ice hockey trophy of the International Hockey League. The trophy was awarded from the 1996/97 season until the dissolution of the League in 2001 annually to those players who fought back after a lengthy injury or illness to the team and contributed with his performances for the success of the team. The award was named after John Cullen, who overcame non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and then returned to the National Hockey League. By 1999, the trophy was awarded as Comeback Player of the Year Award.
