John de Jong

John de Jong ( born March 8, 1977 in The Hague) is a Dutch football player. He plays in central midfield.

He began his career in 1995 at ADO Den Haag. In 1997 he moved to FC Utrecht and PSV Eindhoven in 2000. At the beginning of the season 2002 /03 he was loaned to SC Heerenveen.

Due to his achievements in Heereveen de Jong was brought back for the 2003/ 04 PSV Eindhoven, a root place seemed safe and was often used. His susceptibility to injury, however, have led to the de Jong has not played since March 2005 official game more for PSV Eindhoven. He is still in the squad of the football club and worked on his recovery, but he gave up his career end on 26 February 2008.
