John Dennis Corriveau

Life

John Dennis Corriveau joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin and received on 23 October 1965, the ordination. In the years 1994 - 2006 he served as Minister General of the Capuchin Order. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 30 November 2007 to the Bishop of Nelson.

He received his episcopal consecration of the Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, Luigi Ventura, on January 30 of next year; Co-consecrators were Raymond Roussin SM, Archbishop of Vancouver, and Eugene Jerome Cooney, Former Bishop of Nelson. As a motto he chose Pacificans by sanguinem crucis eius.
