John H. Edwards

John Hilton Edwards ( born March 26, 1928 in London, † October 11, 2007 in Oxford ) was a British geneticist.

Edwards studied medicine and zoology at Cambridge and Middlesex. In 1960 he first described the then named after him, Edwards syndrome ( trisomy 18 ), which is caused by trisomy of human chromosome 18 or parts thereof.
