John II, Count of Oldenburg

Count Johann II of Oldenburg ( documentary attested in 1272 in Oldenburg, † 1315 in Oldenburg) was Count of Oldenburg. His parents were Christian III. of Oldenburg and Jutta von Bentheim.

Life

John II was after his father's death to 1289 under the tutelage of his uncle resided in Delmenhorst Otto II von Oldenburg- Delmenhorst. In 1301 uncertificated and he sealed with his brother Christian, who is not mentioned in the Rasteder Chronicle. His second wife John II was married to Hedwig of Diepholz, from this marriage came Konrad I, along with his older half- brothers took over the count's reign from 1324.
