John Joseph (rock singer)

John Joseph ( born October 3, 1962 in New York City as John Joseph McGeown ), also known as John Bloodclot, is an American punk and hardcore punk singer and author who was known primarily by the Cro -Mags.

Life

John Joseph grew up as an orphan on the streets of New York City and came in the late 1980s to 1970er/Anfang punk scene. He was a founding member of the New York hardcore punk band Cro -Mags and locked in battle with guitarist Harley Flanagan. Through the influence of HR, singer of Bad Brains, he found to spirituality and finally to Krishna faith, since certain texts of Cro -Mags. He was also a vegetarian and later vegan and brought them to life with in the hardcore punk scene of New York.

In the late 1980s, he left in a dispute, the Cro -Mags and worked as a roadie of Bad Brains. A reunion of the Cro -Mags in the 1990s failed again to the disputes between the two members. Since 2008, Joseph touring after several years of name disputes as Cro -Mags with a new occupation by the United States. A new album is currently in the planning stage.

In the 1990s, Joseph singer of hardcore punk band Both Worlds.

In addition to his musical activities Joseph published 2007 autobiography The Evolution of a Cro- Magnon. He also appeared in the documentary New York Hardcore and American Hardcore. He also leads a health center in New York. 2010 appeared the book Meat is for Pussies, dealing with a vegan diet, exercise and health.
