John Kristian Dahl

John Kristian Dahl ( born March 27, 1981 in Kirkenes ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier.

John Kristian Dahl lives in Lillehammer. The student starts for the ski club Strindheim. Making his first appearance on the international stage had Dahl end of January, beginning of February 2001 at the Junior World Championships in Karpacz Szklarska, where he was in the sprint and 10 km respectively fifth. Then he first started out in FIS races and Continental Cups. After a good second spot in a FIS sprint in Granåsen in March 2003, he was first used a few days later in Oslo in a World Cup sprint and came in ninth place immediately to a top ten finish. The sprint specialist changed in the aftermath repeatedly between the various competitions, also occurred repeatedly over race distance up to 50 kilometers on. In December 2003, he reached in the team sprint in Toblach with Håvard Solbakken in third place for the first time a placement on the podium. In the following sprint from Val di Fiemme, he was only defeated by Jens Arne Svartedal.

From now on, Dahl was mostly used in the World Cup and kept as reach in second place in the sprint from Stockholm in February 2004, top positions. In more than 50 World Cup races, he reached so far (as of 1 November 2007) 16 times in the top ten rankings.
