John Louis II, Prince of Anhalt-Zerbst

Johann Ludwig II of Anhalt- Zerbst ( born June 23, 1688 in Thorn Castle; † November 5, 1746 in Zerbst ) was the eldest son of Johann Ludwig I and his wife Christina of Zeutsch ( 1666-1699 ). He was reigning prince of Anhalt- Zerbst.

From 1720 he was Chief Landdrost Jever. He remained there for 22 years and founded in this period, the town church in Jever ( inauguration in 1736 ). After the death of his cousin Johann August von Anhalt- Zerbst in 1742 the succession fell to Johann Ludwig II and his brother Christian August. This meant that he returned to Zerbst.

He was unmarried and died after four years of reign.
