John Lynch (American football)

John Terrence Lynch ( born September 25, 1971 in Hinsdale, Illinois) is an American football player. He plays the position of Safety's at the Denver Broncos in the National Football League. He was selected in the third round of the NFL Drafts 1993 as a total 82 players from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In college, he played in a team of Stanford University.

Lynch was elected nine times to the Pro Bowl ( 5 times with Tampa Bay, 4 times with Denver) and won with the Buccaneers Super Bowl XXXVII 2003 against the Oakland Raiders.

Pro career

After he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1993, he played his first 11 seasons in Tampa. In 2004 he joined as a free agent with the Denver Broncos after he was previously fired by the Buccaneers. Lynch is known for his hard hits and has redefined the position of Free Safety with his playing style.
