Occupation

John Mayall, Roger Dean, John McVie, Hughie Flint, Nigel Stanger

John Mayall Plays John Mayall (Live at Klooks Kleek ) is the first album by the British blues musician John Mayall. It was recorded live in 1964 and appeared in 1965 on Decca Records, the CD release was 2006.

Music history

On December 7, 1964 gave John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers in Klooks Kleek, an R & B club, who had his residence in the Railway Hotel in London's Hampstead, a live concert. It is less the musical feats of the band that make this album worth mentioning. Its peculiarity lies rather in the mediation of the then club-like atmosphere, which was very well recorded. A large part of this was John Mayall, who had become the audience with his refreshing comments indispensable part of the host game.

Occupation

In addition to John Mayall as a singer, the electric piano and the harmonica were Roger Dean on guitar, John McVie on bass, Hughie Flint on drums and Nigel Stanger on sax the band. Roger Dean is to just listen to this album as Blue Breaker. He was shortly afterwards replaced by Eric Clapton.
