John Michael Fearns

John Michael Fearns ( born June 25, 1897 in New York City, USA, † July 4, 1977 ) was auxiliary bishop in New York.

Life

John Michael Fearns received on 19 February 1922, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On November 4, 1957, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Titular Bishop of Geras and auxiliary bishop in New York. The Archbishop of New York, Francis Cardinal Spellman, donated to him on 10 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Washington, Patrick Aloysius O'Boyle, and the Auxiliary Bishop of Albany, Edward Joseph Maginn.
