John Minsheu

John Minsheu (* 1560 in London, † 1627 ) was a British linguist, Anglist, Romance, Hispanist and lexicographer.

Life and work

Minsheu (or Minshew ) was a language teacher in London. He emerged as the editor of the grammar and the dictionary of Richard Perceval. His most significant achievement is the elfsprachige dictionary Ductor in Linguas of 1617th
