John Musker

John Musker ( born November 8, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, USA) is an American animation director.

Creation

John Musker represents one half of the leading teams of contemporary animated film represents the other half is from the cartoon director Ron Clements. This he met with the productions to Fox and the Hound, where he worked as an animator under Ron Clements. Since this time Clements Musker worked together on many successful Disney films. His directorial debut was John Musker, after he had left the project Taran and the Magic Cauldron early, passed along with Ron Clements and two other employees in the successful animated film Basil The Great Mouse Detective. Together John Musker and Roy Clements worked as writers and directors together on many successful Disney films such as the Hans Christian Andersen retelling of The Little Mermaid that the animated by their great success and the Oscar-winning song again on a commercially relevant base brought it back, or the equally successful animated films Aladdin and Hercules.

The next collaboration led John Musker and Ron Clements 2002 on the Sci-Fi Animation Adventure Treasure Planet, a film awaited the two directors as a dream project for a long time before turning to the successful previous films, which remained far below the hoped-for commercial success despite good reviews.

2010 brought him the animated film The Princess and the Frog an Academy Award nomination.
