Taran and the Magic Cauldron is an American animated film by directors Ted Berman and Richard Rich from the year 1985. It is the 25th full-length animated feature film of the Walt Disney Studios. It is based on the first two books of the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander.

Action

Taran is a swineherd who dreams of a career as a great fighter. But he must daydreams soon put it aside, as his eloquent looking pig Hen Wen is by an evil ruler, the Horned King, kidnapped. The villain hopes Hen Wen can show him the way to the black kettle that has the power to create a massive army of invincible undead. With the aid of the stubborn princess Eilonwy, a quick-tempered bards and a creature called Gurgi, Taran bullying attempts to save the world of Prydain before the Horned King. In his meetings with witches, elves, magic swords and the black boiler itself, Taran learns what it really means to be a hero, and that some things are more important than fame and glory.

Film cuts
