John Obi Mikel

John Michael Nchekube Obinna ( born April 22, 1987 in Jos ), short John Obi Mikel, Mikel John Obi Mikel or just called, is a Nigerian football player.
Previously, he played with Plateau United in Nigeria, at Lyn Oslo in Norway and Chelsea. He was trained in the "Pepsi Football Academy " in Nigeria.
Association
Mikel's career in Europe began in the fall of 2004, when he moved to Oslo. The exchange mediated Rune Hauge on behalf of the FC Chelsea from London. Chelsea took over both the training and salary costs in the amount of approximately € 280,000. Lyn Oslo walked Mikels youth contract after his 18th birthday in a professional contract to, and a week later he signed for Chelsea.
On September 21, 2013 game against Fulham FC, he scored his first goal in his 185th league game by scissors kick for the 2-0 win.
National
In the U -20 World Cup in Holland in the summer of 2005, he was honored by the journalists with the " Silver Ball ", as the second best player of the tournament, after Lionel Messi ( FC Barcelona). He was the leaders and thinkers of the Nigerian team and led them as to the final, which was lost against Argentina.
Mikel successfully took part in the Africa Cup in 2006, in which he scored a goal and he the Nigerian senior team led to the 3rd place as a successor to Jay -Jay Okocha.
