David Luiz
David Luiz ( 2012)
David Luiz Moreira Marinho ( born April 22, 1987 in Diadema ) is a Brazilian footballer. He is currently under contract at Chelsea and usually plays on the position of central defender.
Career
Association
David Luiz started his career in 2005 with the Brazilian club Esporte Clube Vitória. In his first season he won the state championship of Bahia. In 2007 he was first hired for half a year from Portuguese club Benfica, as a replacement for Ricardo Rocha. Prior to the 2007/ 08 season Benfica undertook the defense Talent final and David Luiz signed a contract until 2013. Benfica with the defensive player won the 2009 Taça da Liga, so the national League Cup. After he was mustered into the starting lineup, Luiz had to decide about victory or defeat with his teammates in the penalty shootout. After all, you won against Sporting Lisbon, in which also the defender was able to turn his penalty. In the following year the title was defended. 3-0 final victory against FC Porto Luiz played over the full 90 minutes.
On 31 January 2011, David Luiz joined for around £ 20 million to Chelsea. His debut for his new club, he celebrated 6 February 2011 in the 0-1 home defeat to Chelsea FC against Liverpool over 17 minutes after he was brought on in the 73rd minute of coach Carlo Ancelotti for Jose Bosingwa. Then Luiz came to regular operations in the league.
May 19, 2012 Luiz celebrated the biggest triumph with Chelsea, winning in Munich against Bayern Munich UEFA Champions League. He played alongside Cahill in central defense and had Franck Ribery and Mario Gomez as an opponent. In the prior of 2:0 for Bayern on penalties, he converted his penalty to make it 2-1.
National
At the Junior World Cup 2007 David Luiz stood in two preliminary round games in the grid. When Achtelfinalaus against Spain, he did not play. After the Brazilian national team disappointing running World Cup in South Africa, Luiz came in the first friendly match after the World Cup under new coach Mano Menezes for his first appearance of the team. In the friendly match against the United States offered him Menezes in the starting lineup. Since then, the defender is appointed regularly to the squad. In the summer of 2011, he was nominated for the Copa America in Argentina.
