John of Luxembourg, Lord of Beauvoir
John of Luxembourg (franz: Jean de Luxembourg, † 1397 ) was a Lord of Beauvoir and Richebourg, and ( as John II ) Count of Brienne and Conversano ( jure uxoris ). He was a son of Count Guido of Ligny and Mathilde de Châtillon.
Johann married about the year 1387 Marguerite d' Enghien († 1393 ), daughter and heiress of Louis I d' Enghien, which earned him the counties of Brienne and Conversano, and several dominions like Enghien and Piney in the marriage. Their children were:
- Peter the Great († August 31, 1433 ), Count of Saint-Pol and Brienne
- Ludwig ( † September 18, 1443 ), Bishop of Therouanne, Archbishop of Rouen, Chancellor of France
- John II († January 5, 1441 ), Lord of Beauvoir, Count of Guise and Ligny
- Johanna († 1420 ), 1 ∞ with Louis de GHISTELLES († 1415 fell at Agincourt ); 2 ∞ with Jean IV de Melun († 1484 )
