John R. Gaydos

John Raymond Gaydos ( born August 14, 1943 in Saint Louis) is the Bishop of Jefferson City.

Life

John Raymond Gaydos received on 20 December 1968, the ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 25 June 1997 to the Bishop of Jefferson City. The Archbishop of Saint Louis, Justin Francis Rigali, consecrated him on 27 August of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were his predecessor Michael Francis McAuliffe and Oscar Hugh Lipscomb, Archbishop of Mobile.
