John Stuart Mackenzie

John Stuart Mackenzie (* February 29, 1860 in Springborn, † December 6, 1935 ) was a British philosopher. He was born near Glasgow and studied at Glasgow, at the University of Cambridge and at the Humboldt University in Berlin. From 1884 to 1889 he was a Fellow at Edinburgh University and 1890-1896 Fellow at Trinity College, Cambridge.

He taught from 1890 - 1893 Political Economy at Owens College in Manchester and in 1895 Professor of Logic and Philosophy at University College, Cardiff.
