John T. Bowen

John Templeton Bowen ( born July 8, 1857 in Boston, USA, † December 30, 1940 ibid ) was a professor of dermatology and taught at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was considered a good clinician with a special interest for histopathology, but was a rather reclusive man who rarely published. According to him, a precancerous lesion of squamous carcinoma of the skin is named ( Bowen's disease ).
