Johnny Douglas (conductor)

Johnny Douglas ( born June 19, 1920 in Hackney, † 20 April 2003 in Bognor Regis) was a British composer and musical arranger.

Life

Douglas began in 1939 as a pianist, worked from 1948 for Decca Records, for which he recorded about 500 songs and later for RCA Records, for which he recorded about 80 albums. He led his own band and worked for many British artists of the 1950s to the 1970s. For over thirty films and television series he wrote the soundtrack.

In 1982 he founded his own label, Dulcima, with whom he published his shots in succession. This edition continues even after his death.
