Jon Pyong-ho

Jon Pyong -ho ( born March 20, 1926 in Chagang -do) is a North Korean politician of the Workers' Party of Korea ( WPK ), who is currently chief secretary of the Party Committee of Government and Director of the Political Bureau of the Government. As a member of the Central Military Commission from 1990 to 2011 and as Secretary of the Central Committee (CC ) of the Party for the military and munitions industry 1986-2010 decades he was a key figure in the development of ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons in North Korea.

Life

Jon, who comes from a family of migrant farm workers, holds a degree in mechanical engineering in North Korea as well as in the Soviet Union and, after finishing his studies in 1951 an employee of the tractor factory in Kanggye. Subsequently, he was from 1956 to 1970 instructor in the organization department of the Party. 2010 Jon Pyong -ho was appointed and at the same time to the chief secretary of the Party Committee of the Government as Director of the Political Bureau of the Government of North Korea. At the Third Party Conference of the WPK he was, he was re-elected as a member of the Politburo on 28 September 2010. In April 2010, Jon resigned as member of the National Defence Commission.
