Jon Skolmen

Jon Skolmen ( born 1 November 1940 in Oslo) is a Norwegian actor, comedian and presenter.

Life

After finishing school and studying Skolmen was a short time worked as a substitute teacher and sports teacher. In 1960 he had his first debut on stage in a revue together with Einar Schanke. Between 1963 and 1981 worked at NRK. First, he started there as a simple production and assistant director, from 1967 was responsible for the children and youth department and in 1970 for the entertainment. Furthermore, he got his first own broadcasts at NRK and was parallel also active as an actor. With the short film The Nor- Way to Broadcasting of NRKs he won as a screenwriter with co-author Trond Kirkvaag the Golden Rose of Montreux and special prize at the Rose d' Or and the Chaplin Award.

Skolmen also found in neighboring Sweden a large audience as an important supporting actor in comedy Sällskapsresan and in its four sequels as Ole Bramserud, the Norwegian buddy of the main character Stig Helmer Olsson, where he performed together with the Swedish actor Lasse Åberg in these roles. In the 1980s, had several appearances in the popular Swedish sketch comedy show Nöjesmassakern and contributed to the Revue Dizzie Tunes in Sweden and Norway.

He also played with some Norwegian film and television productions. So he had an appearance in the 1984 Norwegian Olsen Gang as a security guard in the Munch Museum in the movie ... men Olsen Gang var ikke død! and 1986, a role in the film Plast Poznan where he also wrote the screenplay and directed by. In the Norwegian film Alexander he appeared as Uncle Donkel in the thriller 1993 Holiday with a corpse, he played a police officer.

By 2007 Skolmen again worked with his former partner Trond Kirkvaag so in the sitcom Luftens Helter the NRKs that was set just before the death Kirkvaag.

Jon Skolmen is the father of actor Christian and Tine Skolmen, as well as the brother of the director Eli Skolmen Ryg. He is also the uncle of actresses Anne Ryg and Hege Schøyen. With his niece Hege Schøyen he played together in 1991 in the Swedish comedy The ofrivillige golfaren, where he played her lover, and therefore had to be dispensed with some love scenes. He had his last appearances in the 2011 series Norwegian comfort, while the tragicomedy The Stig - Helmer Story as Ole.

For his life's work, he was awarded the 2009 Komiprisen ( comedian price) as a prize and the Heder pinches.
