Jonathan Caouette

Jonathan Caouette (* November 26, 1972 in Houston, Texas ) is an American independent filmmakers, film actor and auteur. He became world famous through the scenic Home / documentary film " Tarnation ".

Life

Caouette spent a difficult childhood. He grew up with his grandparents, his mother suffered from schizophrenia. At the age of eleven years turned Caouette some movies. He also starred in several MTV commercials, promotional clips and more than a dozen student films.

In 2003 he had his greatest success well: the film Tarnation ( co-produced by John Cameron Mitchell and Gus Van Sant ). Caouette had celebrated great successes at various festivals in the U.S. and won several independent prices. His film was shown at the Sundance Film Festival and in Cannes.

Caouette has also worked as a theater or musical performers in various regional theater and musical stages.

Jonathan Caouette is openly homosexual and lives with his partner David Sanin Paz in Astoria, New York.
