Jonathan Cook

Jonathan Cook (born 1965 in Buckinghamshire, England) is an independent journalist, foreign correspondent and author who specializes in writing about the Middle East and the Israeli- Palestinian conflict.

Cook has lived since September 2001 in the mainly inhabited by Israeli Arabs town of Nazareth in northern Israel. He regularly writes for Al - Ahram Weekly in Cairo, for the Daily Star in Beirut and for Aljazeera.net. Previously, he worked at the newspapers The Guardian and The Observer and has written about the Israeli -Palestinian conflict for Le Monde Diplomatique and CounterPunch.
