Joos Valgaeren

Joos Valgaeren ( born March 3, 1976 in Leuven ) is a Belgian footballer who plays for FC Emmen in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.

Playing career

The beginnings

Joos Valgaeren began his career as a football player in 1994 at the Belgian first division team KV Mechelen. He remained there for three years and gained his first experience in professional football. He then went abroad for the first time in 1997. In Roda Kerkrade he could in the Dutch Eredivisie be a regular player and win the National Cup 2000. During his time at Roda he also became Belgian national team.

Celtic Glasgow

After Euro 2000 the Scottish top club Celtic FC undertook the talented defender. When the Scots Valgaeren had his most successful period. With Celtic he won seven national titles (3x Champion, 3x Cup winner, 1x Ligacup ) and played regularly.

FC Bruges

In the summer of 2005, Valgaeren decided to return to the domestic Jupiler League after he was active for eight long years abroad. With the top club FC Bruges in 2007 he was able to celebrate his last title so far in the cup final on Standard Liege.

National

Between 1999 and 2004, denied Joos Valgaeren to achieve 19 caps for the Belgium without a goal. For his home country, he participated in the European Football Championship 2000 in part in their own country.

Previously, he was already playing in various youth national teams for the Belgians.
