Jordan national football team

The Jordanian national football team is the national team of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Middle East.

World Championships

Jordan is not yet managed to qualify for a World Cup.

The qualifying for the tournament they took part in 1986. After a 1-0 win against Qatar Jordan lost the next three games and had to defer to the teams from Iraq and Qatar. Jordan was previously three hosts of the West Asia Championship, attend the six member associations of the West Asian Football Federation ( WAFF ) and visiting teams. The members of the WAFF are next to Jordan even Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. The tournament was held in 2000, 2007 and 2010 in the Jordanian capital Amman.

As the biggest successes of Jordan to the West Asian Championship, two second places to book. 2002 in Syria is defeated Iraq in the final after extra 3-2. Six years later, Jordan lost in the final 1-2 against the host Iran.

Known player

As an outstanding player of Jordan's selection is currently regarded Hassan Abdel Fattah.
