Jorge López Montaña

Jorge López Montaña ( born September 19, 1978 in Logroño ) is a Spanish football player. His former position is the midfield.

Career

Jorge López started his footballer career in the youth of CD Logroñés. The problematic economic situation of the club meant that he moved to FC Villarreal in the summer of 1999. With these he made in the first season promotion to the Primera División, and developed in central midfield as one of the best players of the club. In the summer of 2003, he finally moved to FC Valencia, and although he played here on the unusual for him right gang, he was able to convince again and won with his team the championship and the UEFA Cup. The departure of Rafael Benítez and the arrival of Claudio Ranieri, who were retired Jorge López, took him on loan to RCD Mallorca.
