Jörgen Brink

By Jörgen Brink ( born March 10, 1974 in Delsbo, Hudiksvall Municipality, Gävleborg province ) is a Swedish cross-country skier and biathlete.

Jörgen Brink starts as a cross-country skiers for Hudiksvalls IF, IFK Umeå and later as a biathlete for the club Jämtland biathlon. Brink took since the 1994/95 season at the Cross Country World Cup and won 2003 Otepaeae be over 30 km so far only World Cup race, a total he was placed in World Cup race six times in the top three. In his most successful season, the 2002/03 season, he won at the World Championships in Val di Fiemme bronze in the 2 x 10 km pursuit and 50 km and finished seventh over 30 km. He participated in the Olympic Games in 2002 and 2006 as part of cross-country skiers, his best finish was 24th place in the sprint in Salt Lake City.

At the Swedish Championships he won the 2003 Sprint, was second twice (2003 in the double tracking and 2004 Sprint) and third once (2003 over 10 miles) - the national biathlon championships he won in 2007 behind Björn Ferry surprising second place and starts since the 2007/08 season with the team in the Biathlon World Cup. His best ever finish was fifth place in the sprint in Vancouver 2009. For the Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010 Brink was not considered as a biathlete, after failing to stabilize its shooting performance. He then focused back on the long run and surprisingly won the Vasaloppet in 2010. A year later he was able to race again this decide for themselves. In the new record time of 3.38,41 he won the 2012 race for the third time in a row. After the 2009/2010 season Brink was removed from the national squad at the biathletes.
