Jorrit de Ruiter

Jorrit de Ruiter ( born November 28, 1986 in Amsterdam) is a Dutch badminton player.

Career

As Jorrit de Ruiter was seven years old, he began at the BC Duinwijck in Haarlem badminton. Until 2005, he played for this club in different leagues. He then left the club and played for the first time in the first National League for Slotermeer BV in Amsterdam. A year later he moved to BV van Zijderveld to Amstelveen, where he played until the year 2011 in the first national league. In 2011 he returned to BC Duinwijck. Since the 2012/13 season he plays for 1 BV Mülheim an der Ruhr in the 1st Bundesliga.

International took de Ruiter at the All England Super Series 2009 in ninth place in the men's doubles with Jurgen Wouters. In 2011 he won at the Slovak International. 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011, he participated in the badminton world championships. Jorrit de Ruiter is a member of the Dutch national badminton. He specializes in the double game. Until April 2013 he played with Dave Khodabux the men's doubles ( Highest World Ranking 32). Now he only plays with Samantha Barning in mixed ( World No. 24). A serious breach of Barning in September 2013 both could play no further tournaments more in that year. As a result, they fell in the rankings far back in January 2014 to rank 41

De Ruiter trained as a full time professional in the Dutch national sports center Papendal in Arnhem and is chairman of the Athletes' Commission of the Dutch Badminton Association.
