José Alberto Martínez

José Alberto Martínez Trinidad ( born September 10, 1975 in San Sebastián ) is a Spanish former road bicycle racer.

José Alberto Martínez began his professional career in 1998 in the Basque Euskaltel -Euskadi cycling team. A year later he was able to draw attention to themselves when Midi Libre with third place in the standings and a stage win for the first time. In the Tour of Burgos in 2000 he won a stage. In 2002, he won the Critérium International strongly occupied for themselves. After six years, he joined the Spanish team Relax- Fuenlabrada. There, however, he remained only a year before he went to the French Professional Continental team Agritubel. When Critérium International 2006 he won the final time trial in itself. His lead on the later overall winner Ivan Basso was only one second. Later he won the highly categorized Tour of Bavaria before Beat Zberg. After the 2007 season, he finished his career.
