José Bianco

José Bianco ( born November 21, 1908 in Buenos Aires, † April 24, 1986 ) was an Argentine journalist, writer and translator.

Bianco studied law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, this study but stopped without a degree. After a short time he became a freelance contributor to the magazine " Sur " and could work their way up over the years into a major editor. When he obeyed after the revolution in 1961 an invitation from the Cuban Institute of Culture Casa de las Américas, it came to a falling out with his boss Victoria Ocampo.

Bianco announced and moved in the same year in the editorial board of the Editorial Universitaria de Buenos Aires ( EUDEBA ). He worked there until 1966 General Juan Carlos Onganía coup to power. In the following dictatorship Bianco lost his job.

On April 24, 1986 Bianco died at the age of 78 years to a lung ailment in Buenos Aires and found his final resting place.
