José Luis Arrieta

José Luis Arrieta Lujambio ( born June 15, 1971 in San Sebastián ) is a Spanish former road bicycle racer.

Career

José Luis Arrieta started his professional career in 1993 with the Spanish cycling team Banesto, in which he continued until 2005. He won the 2002 Tour of Asturias a stage, and in 2006 the 19th stage of the Vuelta a España. He took ten times in the Tour de France in part, most recently in 2009. His best result was the 28th place in the standings in 2006.

From 2006 to 2010 he rode for the French ProTeam AG2R Prévoyance and then finished his career as a professional cyclist.
