José Maria de Yermo y Parres

Joseph Maria de Yermo y Parres ( born November 10, 1851 in Jalmolonga, Mexico, † September 20, 1904 in Puebla de los Angeles, Mexico) was a Mexican priest and founder of the order. He is a saint in the Catholic Church.

Joseph Maria joined in 1867 the Vincent Community (the Community of St. Vincent de Paul ), where, however, he resigned in 1877. In 1879 he was ordained a priest in the diocese Leòn. In 1885 he founded the Congregation of the Servants of the Holy Heart of Jesus and the poor, particularly devoted to the needy and the needy. Joseph Maria has founded schools, hospitals, orphanages and homes for the elderly.

He was beatified in 1990 and canonized in 2000 by Pope John Paul II.
