José Rujano
José Humberto Rujano Guillén ( born February 18, 1982 in Santa Cruz de Mora ) is a racing cyclist from Venezuela.
Career
Since 2003 he has worked as a professional racing driver and stood first in the Italian team Colombia - Selle Italia under contract. In the 2006 season he drove Tour Team Quickstep Innergetic, for which he also took part in the Tour de France for the Belgian Pro. Like virtually all riders from South America, he is an excellent climber, with his competition weight of only 49 kg just plays an important role.
In Europe, he first drew attention to himself in 2005 at the Giro d' Italia. He won the 19th stage and decided the mountain classification with a big lead for themselves. In the overall classification, he finished third, with a gap of just 45 seconds Paolo Savoldelli. In 2007 he rode for the Belgian team Unibet.com. 2008 Rujano started for the Spanish ProTour team Caisse d' Epargne, which does not, however, extended his end of the year expiring contract.
In 2011 he returned, after 2009 and 2010 for the small Venezuelan team Gobernación del Zulia contested races and stood in the first half of 2010 for a short time at the Italian Professional Continental team ISD - Neri under contract to the team Androni Giocattoli back, the same team, at the he had already started his career in Europe. Here he was able in 2011 to decide the 13th stage on the Grossglockner itself at the Giro d' Italia, he also reached the seventh place in the overall standings of the Tour.
End of the 2013 season, he wants to finish his career as a professional cyclist.
