Josef Völk

Josef Völk (born 3 December 1948 in Emmenhausen ) is a former German professional ice hockey player.

Career

Josef Volk began his career as a hockey player with the EV Fussen, for the first team, he was active in the hockey league from 1967 to 1976. With Bayern he won the German championship in 1968, 1969, 1971 and 1973. Then the defender spent five years in the league rivals VfL Bad Nauheim, before it ran aground 1981-1983 again for feet. Finally, the three -time Olympian came in the 1983/84 season for the EC Oberstdorf in the Südstaffel the 2nd Hockey League. After the season, he finished his career at the age of 35 years.

Internationally

For Germany Völk adopted the B World Championships in 1969, 1970 and 1975 and the A World Championships in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1976 and 1977 in part. In addition, he was in the German squad at the 1968 Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble, 1972 in Sapporo and 1976 in Innsbruck. His biggest international success was winning the bronze medal with Germany at the Winter Games in 1976.
