List of German ice hockey champions
The German ice hockey champion is played with the men since 1912, with women since 1984.
Until 1948, the German Empire champion was determined in a final of the best teams, with the founding of the Federal Republic and the GDR Oberliga was introduced as the top division in both countries, which point best team won the championship. In the Federal Republic the league in 1958 replaced by the newly founded Bundesliga, in which after the reunion, the last two remaining East German clubs SC Dynamo Berlin and SG Dynamo White water were added. Since 1994, the German Ice Hockey League is the highest German professional league, the master is played in a play-off round of the best teams.
The German Women's Champion is determined in the two-track women's Bundesliga since 1988, the junior teams play in different age classes from their master. 2001, the German junior league was founded as a top division in Junior Hockey.

Championships in the German Empire (1912 to 1945)
The first seasons were clearly dominated by the Berlin Ice Club, which played out of the 28 championships 17 and an additional game could decide in communion with the SC Brandenburg for themselves. In 1994, the German Ice Hockey League was introduced as the new highest German professional league and spun off a major part of professional teams, as usual in modern hockey game in operating companies. The most successful team in the history of the DEL are the polar bears Berlin, who won seven titles since 2005.

Offspring
The German champion in youth football are played in the junior leagues, youth and students since 1980. In 2000, the German Development League (DNL ) was established as a new young German Elite Series. By far the played 13 DNL title since ten went to the young eagles Mannheim, the junior team of the Adler Mannheim of the DEL.
