1965–66 DDR-Oberliga (ice hockey) season
The East German Ice Hockey Cup 1965/66 meant to the first title of the SC Dynamo Berlin the culmination of a 15 -year-long success story of the series Master of the SG Dynamo white water. On the balance of power in the league changed little separated the two Dynamo teams in the past three seasons, only a single point from each other. The ASK forward Crimmitschau strengthened with his fourth bronze medal in a row its position as the third force in the league.
In favor of a desired increase in output was returned to the old mode of pre-and final round again this season.
