Joseph Albert Rosario

Joseph Albert Rosario MSFS (* May 30, 1915 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, † 31 July 2011) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Amravati.

Life

Joseph Albert Rosario joined the Congregation of the Missionaries of St.. Francis de Sales in and received on 29 September 1944, the ordination.

In 1955 he became Pope Pius XII. appointed the first bishop of the Diocese of Amravati. He was a Council Father of all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council.

His resignation was accepted in 1995 by Pope John Paul II.
