Joseph De Bakker

Joseph " Jos " De Bakker ( born May 27, 1934 in Antwerp Borgerhout ) is a former Belgian racing cyclist.

Jos De Bakker was from 1950s to the 1960s, the dominating Belgian racing driver in the short-term events on the track. Between 1952 and 1966, he was 13 - times Belgian champion in the sprint, five times as an amateur and as a professional eight times since 1957. Four times - 1960, 1961, 1963 and 1964 - he finished at Track World Most properties in the sprint of professionals rank three. In 1957 he also won the prestigious Sprint Classic Grand Prix de Paris. He also started at 20 six-day races, of which he won one in 1963 with Rik Van Steenbergen in Madrid.

In 1968, De Bakker back as a cyclist, but remained for many years as a pacesetter in the stayer and Dernyrennen active.
