Joseph Mewis
Joseph Mewis ( born March 23, 1931 in Antwerp ) is a former Belgian wrestler.
Joseph Mewis started at the Summer Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956, in Rome in 1960 and 1964 in Tokyo. These were his only international participations.
His second place finish at the 1956 Games was a big surprise, in the final but he had to the Japanese wrestler and World Champion from 1954, Shozo Sasahara, admit defeat.
Joseph Mewis is the younger brother of Maurice Mewis.
