Joseph Theodorus Suwatan

Joseph Theodorus Suwatan MSC ( born April 10, 1940 in Tegal ) is bishop of Manado.

Life

Joseph Theodorus Suwatan joined the Congregation of the Sacred Heart missionaries and received on 8 January 1969, the ordination. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 8 February 1990 on the Bishop of Manado.

The Apostolic Pro- Nuncio to Indonesia, Francesco Canalini, ordained him on June 29th of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Theodorus Hubertus Moors MSC, Bishop Emeritus of Manado, and Julius Riyadi Cardinal Darmaatmadja SJ, Archbishop of Jakarta and military Bishop of Indonesia.
