Joshua Rose ( born December 16, 1981 in Rockhampton ) is an Australian football player. The midfielder is since 2010 the Australian club Central Coast Mariners under contract.

Career

Rose began his career in 2001 in the National Soccer League ( NSL) at the Brisbane Strikers. Until the termination of the NSL after the 2003/ 04 season, Rose reached Brisbane twice the play-offs, but failed both times already in the Elimination Final. In 2005 he moved to the New Zealand Knights, who took part in the newly formed A-League. Rose played for the Knights twelve times in the disastrous 2005/06 season, which ended the club with just six points as severed Table. In summer 2006, the midfielder joined together with his teammate Josh Maguire to the Romanian first division club Universitatea Craiova in which two other Australians were already at this time with Josh Mitchell and Michael Baird in the squad. In 2010 he returned to the Australian A-League and the Central Coast Mariners joined them. With the Mariners Rose in 2011 reached the Cup final, which was, however, lost to Brisbane Roar on penalties. In the 2012/13 season he was with the club Australian Masters.
