Jossa (Fulda)

The Jossa is a 22.9 km long tributary of the Fulda in the Vogelsberg and in Hersfeld -Rotenburg, Hesse ( Germany ). Its catchment area is 122.004 km ².

The river arises above slot Willofs, 393 meters above sea level on the slopes of Stone Mountain ( 494 m. Above sea level. NN. ) From the confluence of three rivers in the forest Lauterbach.

Course

First, the Jossa flows from Willofs in northern direction over Udenhausen after Grebenau and Grebenau -Waller village and Breitenbach - Hatterode to Breitenbach am Herzberg. This village east passing it flows eastward through the district Oberjossa and low - Aula Niederjossa to then at 210 m. ü. NN. to open into the Fulda.

The source of the Schwarza in turn is located in the extreme south of the country at the southern foot of the mountain Ottrauer 501 m high mountain Auer.
